By booking a performance, event, class, or any other service provided by Melissa, you acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. We kindly ask that you read them carefully.

1- 💃 Services Provided

Melissa offers professional belly dance entertainment for private and public events. Services may include: Solo or group performances and event-specific requests (as agreed upon at the time of booking). All services are tailored to enhance your event with elegance, vibrant energy, and cultural respect.

2. 📅 Booking Process

To book a performance, clients must:

• Submit a booking request via the inquiry form, email, or social media message.

• Confirm event details including date, location, time, and any special requests.

• Agree to Melissa’s terms and conditions by completing the agreement sent at the time of booking.

• Provide a non-refundable 20% deposit to secure the date, as detailed in the payment section below.

• Finalize full payment before the event, unless otherwise agreed. A booking is considered confirmed once all details are agreed upon and the deposit is received.

Early bookings are encouraged to ensure availability. Custom requests (e.g. location, additional dancers, or special features) must be discussed and approved in advance.

3. 💳 Payment Terms

• A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.

• The remaining balance is due no later than the day of the event.

• Payments can be made via Zelle, Venmo, or Cash.

• Bookings will not be confirmed until the deposit is received.

4. 📋 Event Details

Please communicate all relevant information about your event, including:

• Exact event date and start time

• Duration of the performance

• Location and venue details (including any parking or loading instructions)

• Contact information for the event organizer or point person

• Details about the existing sound system at your location (to ensure Melissa provides the correct music format, e.g., USB, phone, or to send the music in advance via email)

• Costume requests: any preferred costume colors or themes

• Favorite song or crowd details to help with music selection

Melissa reserves the right to adjust the performance if any essential details are not provided in a timely manner or if unforeseen venue challenges arise.

5. ❌ Cancellation & Refund Policy

• Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to a new date if the event is rescheduled with at least 14 days’ notice.

• Cancellations made less than 14 days before the event will not receive a refund.

  If Melissa cancels due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances:

• A qualified substitute dancer may be offered, or

• A full refund of any payments made will be issued, or

• The event may be rescheduled to a mutually agreed-upon date.

6. ⚖️ Liability & Safety

• Clients are responsible for ensuring a safe and suitable environment for the performance, including adequate space, flooring, and safety conditions.

• Melissa is not liable for any injuries or damages that occur due to unsafe or inappropriate venue conditions.

• Clients agree to follow any safety instructions provided by Melissa to protect performers and guests.

• In case of severe weather or unsafe conditions for outdoor events, Melissa reserves the right to reschedule or cancel the performance.

7. 🔥 Fire Safety

• For performances involving fire or flame elements, clients must ensure the venue complies with all local fire codes and regulations.

• A safe performance area free of flammable materials must be provided, with adequate clearance for the dancer and fire props.

• Melissa reserves the right to cancel or modify any fire performance if safety conditions are not met or if the environment poses a risk.

• The client assumes all responsibility and liability related to fire performances and agrees to indemnify Melissa against any related claims.

8. ✈️ Travel & Accommodations

Clients are responsible for providing or reimbursing travel and accommodation expenses for events outside Houston.

Travel expenses may include transportation (flights, mileage, car rentals, etc.), lodging, and meals as agreed upon in advance.

If overnight accommodation is required, clients must provide safe and suitable lodging.

9. 🎭 Performance Space & Expectations

A safe and adequate space for the performer shall be provided on the day of the event. This includes a floor or stage area free of broken glass, spilled liquids, or other hazardous objects. The environment must also be free from harassment of a sexual nature or any other inappropriate behavior.

If the performer deems the environment unsafe for any of these reasons, she reserves the right to leave without rendering services. In such a case, the client remains responsible for paying the full agreed amount.

The performance space should have stable, non-slippery flooring suitable for dancing.

Melissa will arrive promptly and perform as scheduled but relies on clients to provide accurate event details and a suitable environment.

Any technical needs (sound system, music playback, lighting) should be communicated in advance to ensure smooth execution.

Melissa reserves the right to modify or cancel the performance if the space or conditions do not meet safety or quality standards.

10. 📸 Photography & Videography

Clients may take photographs and videos during the performance for personal use. However, the use of photos or videos for commercial purposes requires Melissa’s prior written approval. Melissa may use photos or videos taken during the event for promotional purposes unless the client requests otherwise.
